We're are committed to raising awareness on the importance and fragility of the marine ecosystem and work every day towards minimising our environmental impact. In doing so we support a variety of projects:
SAINT-TROPEZ COULEUR BLEU 2021
North Sails contributed to the creation of an art piece in Saint-Tropez at Saint-Tropez Couleur Bleu 2021, an initiative curated by Agnes Bouquet. The lighthouse was dressed by French contemporary digital artist Miguel Chevalier. 'Coraux Fractals 1' represents the urge to save our planet and the commitment to environmental protection.
WORLD OCEANS DAY
On World Oceans Day 2021, artists Nabla & Zibe worked on a marine-themed mural in Milan Rogoredo that aims to raise awareness, through street art, of the deep connection between ocean conservation and climate change. The contribution of the duo to the protection of the sea continues with a North Sails limited edition t-shirt: the sales revenues have been donated to support 30x30Italia, a project by Worldrise.
NO PLASTIC MORE FUN
As part of the No Plastic More Fun event, the street artist Iena Cruz has painted a big graffiti in the center of Milan, near Lambrate station. The mural created thanks to Worldrise in collaboration with North Sails, consisted of a large marine-themed painting, capable of absorbing pollution and transforming it into clean air thanks to Airlite - a paint that reduces smog and pollution in the air by 88%. An impactful operation that stems from the awareness that each of us depends on the ocean and, at the same time, the health of the ocean depends on our actions.
